Upon in-quiry, I found that some one had found some wild turkeyeggs and had taken them and raised the young. This * wildturkey was fully as docile as the tame ones. Mongrels Common. I regret to have to say that most ofthe supposed wild turkeys which I have seen upon pre-serves and estates are mongrels, and it seems to be verydifficult to actually secure the pure Eastern form. Lest thisform should ever disappear in the wild state, it would bewell to make sure that breeding-stock is the real above may serve to put people on their guard againstmistake or deception.
