The Sagadi Forest Centre at the Sagadi manorial estate on the northern coast of Estonia is surrounded by the beautiful nature of Lahemaa National Park The history of the estate dates back more than 500 years The architectural jewel in the crown of the Sagadi estate is the early neoclassical manor house dating from the 18th century It is one of the best preserved manor houses in Estonia The Sagadi manor was first mentioned in written documents in 1444 during 1684 1919 it belonged to the Focks the present manor house with a Rococo interior was built in 1749 53 The additions and the Classicist facade date from the end of the 18th century The exterior and interior of the building have decorative elements from both the baroque and neoclassical architectural styles The furniture dates for the most part from the 18th to the early 20th century The manorial architecture and the interior reflect the same era 17 from the former 52 buildings have been renovated There is a large park with a pond and an orchard Today Sagadi Manor has become a well known tourism centre
