The boiler simply restsnil the saddles, without being attached tothem, so that provision is made for ex-pansion and contraction. The live steam pipes leave the boiler motion. Reversing is effected by meansof a hand lever. The cab is located in the center of thelocomotive, and the water supply is car-ried in four tanks, placed beside theboiler barrels. The two tanks on thefiremens side are shorter than the others, fittings were removed, but were boxedwith the locomotive, so that very littleerecting work was necessary on arrivalat destination. Considering the fact thatthese locomotives were built throughoutto metric measurements, and were ofmost unusual design, a quick record for.
