Castle in Frydlant, Bohemia, Czech


Frydlant castle was built in 13 century on a basalt rock. Like most of castles in the region, it belonged to the Wallensteins (Waldstejn). It is considered that this castle was described by Frantz Kafka in his novel "Das Schloss". Kafka was there when he worked for insurance company.
