The round gristmill named Weltevreden (1817) in Domburg (Zeeland), Netherlands
De Weltevreden is a flour mill in Domburg. This flour mill was built in 1817, replacing an earlier mill at the same location. In 1963 there were plans to convert the mill into a house, but no permit was granted. The municipality of Domburg bought the mill in 1970 and had it thoroughly restored. The mill is best known for the paintings made by Piet Mondriaan between 1908 and 1916. Mondriaan was part of the artists' colony, which spent a lot of time in Domburg during the early 20th century. His mills are quite realistic at first, and then become more and more abstract. The best known one is a canvas from 1911, with a red windmill against a blue background
