Srinagar, Kashmir. 29 October 2019. Protests erupt in Srinagar as a delegation of European Union MPs arrives in the city for a first-hand assessment of the situation in the Jammu and Kashmir state. Clashes broke out between protesters and security forces in Srinagar, as well as at several places in the Kashmir valley, ahead of the EU delegation’s assessment of the situation in Indian administered Kashmir. The foreign delegation is the first one to be allowed by the Indian Government since the revocation of the state's special status under Article 370 on 5th August 2019
