Nomore picturesque spots of land exist in all Australasia. Some of them are still under theirnative rulers, but the beit have succumbed to the Spaniards from the Philippines, who forthree centuries have been their enemies, while in later years the English and the Dutelihave, not very successfully, attempted to gain a footing in those lovely isles.
