A kyu gunto for army staff officers, after 1900. Blade shinogizukuri, chu-kissaki, torii-zori, midare based on notare hamon, komaru boshi with short kaeri. Chu-mokume hada. Sashikomi polish with small rust marks. Nakago with one mekugi-ana and kiri-yasurime. Illegible signature. Tsuka covered with same, guard and back of the tsuka made of brass with well retained fire gilding, nanako ground and cherry blossom ornaments. Tsuka with small silver mon of the Haga family. Chrome-plated iron scabbard with two suspension rings. Length k/m 54 cm, overall length 95 cm. ,
