This variety we had not Intended introducing until 1903; but on January 9th recei' growers stating that the crop of the Blanche Burpee Bush Sweet Pea (of which you scription in our Advance Price-LiSl and which you will find fully described in the Farm Annual and Market Gardeners' Price-List for 1902) is a complete Failure, and that there will he no seed whatever for us this sea- son. This we regret extremely, but in an unfavorable season like this it is not at ail surprising. The black- seeded Sadie Burpee is of the same bush growth as the other varieties. The flowers arc of largo size, opening with a flush pink color, changing to white later, and ait? borne at the top of long, still", slender steins. As the stems of the flowers can be cut with some of the neat attractive foliage, they are most desirable for bunching in bouquets or used as floral decorations.
