Participants in the 2nd Big Wheel Race in Central Park dangerously hurdle down hills on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in an effort to achieve their minute of fame and glory. Contestants in the race brought their wheeled vehicles, kid's tricycles, homemade contraptions, etc. to the Great Hill in Central Park where they raced down with disastrous results. All the vehicles had to have their seats no more than twelve inches above the ground and homemade modifications were encouraged. (© Richard B. Levine)
