The breakthrough of the Sint-Antoniesdijk at Houtewael, 1651; Breaking the St. Anthonis Dijk, 1651. Dike breach of the Sint-Antoniesdijk or Diemerzeedijk at Houtewael outside of Amsterdam on March 5, 1651, caused by the high flood and the strong northwester storm. The water flows through the hole in the dike, on either side of the hole spectators in panic.
