Two German fluted light spaulders for a "Maximilian" armour with minor differences, circa 1520-25. Gutter-shaped, each of five lames embossed with a central band of four flutes flanked by two bands of three flutes and all widening slightly over the two middle lames, the upper and the lower lames with recessed borders with plain angular turned edges, and each moving on later sliding rivets and internal leathers (one lower lame replaced to match).
