Cleveland florists are for it from now on. A 2-page ad- vertisement used by St. Louis florists was exhibited, showing what a wonder- ful success St. Louis made. It cost the St. Louis florists $4,200 and no one felt it. A special get-together dance was held May 9 at Conklin's hall. The en- tertainment consisted of a radio con- cert, refreshments, special stunts and cards for the older members. These monthlv get-together meetings are do- ing a great deal of good. The growers and florists in and around Cleveland have a chance to meet each other here, which means better business coopera- tion. , Nearlv all of the florists are in favor of a fall flower show. Why not? It would be good advertising. Over 255,- 000 peo])le went to the building exposi- tion held here recently. Business is coming back strongly and by fall we should be ready to have a real show. Herman P. Knoble was missed at the May meeting of the club. He was at Detroit attending the V. T. D. meeting. It was reported that we were just nine new members short of President McLaughlin's desired 100 new mem- bers for this year.
