Aerial picture dated February 2nd shows the village of Haddenham near Cambridge covered with fresh snow on Saturday morning after more snow fell overnight. The Met Office forecast states today after a frosty start there will be sunny periods for most, perhaps cloudier in the southeast at first. Some showers in the far north, west and east, these a wintry mix around the coasts but snow inland. Feeling cold, especially in the breezy south. Tonight: Daytime showers largely dying out. Turning very cold under clear skies with harsh frost and some freezing fog patches. Rain, sleet and snow pushing into the far west later. Sunday: Outbreaks of rain and snow in the far west pushing eastwards then fine for a time before further rain arrives later. Windy with gales in the northwest, turning less cold. Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Rain moving east on Monday with some snow in the north. Frosty start on Tuesday then turning wet and windy from the west. Staying unsettled for Wednesday. Becoming less cold.
