A neighborhood of homes is seen at Babcock Ranch, Florida, the first solar-powered town in the United States. Each home is powered by electricity generated by an 870 acre, 75-megawatt solar farm. Construction of the community began in 2015, with plans for 19,500 residences and 6 million square feet of commercial space.
