HE California StreetArt Center ot Pasadena was started someyears ago by Palmer Sabin and WallaceNeff, architects. Frederick Ruppel. Engi-neer, and George Hunt, maker of fine fur-niture. These three men erected buildingsof early California style, two of them onone side of California Street (with an opencourt between) and one on the oppositeside of the street. The buildings are notextensive in size, but the group has never-theless, on account of the nature of theoccupants and their interesting activities,gradually accumulated an enviable atmos-phere of its own.
