DUQM, Oman (June 18, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Quincy Bumstead heaves mooring line on the forecastle aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) in preparation for getting underway. Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
