A shashka, Asian model 1834 for enlisted Russian men Curved, single-edged blade with fullers on both sides. On both sides of the base of the blade subsequently added, etched cartouches with cypher "N II" and Russian double-headed eagle. On the ricasso maker's mark with date "Zlatoust Arms Factory 1916". Wooden grip, leather-covered, partially damaged wood scabbard with florally engraved brass mounts. Length 100 cm. Cf.
