Moses in the Biezen Mandje, 1646 print The mother of Moses kneels at the piping basket in which she launches her son Moses. Next to her is Mirjam, the sister of Moses. On the left on the banks of the Nile is the daughter of Pharaoh with her entourage. She will find Moses. In the background, Hebrew babies are thrown into the Nile from the bridge. Under the show a text line in Latin and four four -line verses in Dutch and a reference to the Bible text. This print is part of an album. paper engraving Jochebed makes an ark (or basket) of bulrushes daubed with pitch and puts Moses in it.
