This was under the ministry ofRev. Sela Pain, one of the most pious and devout men I everknew. It was some time after this before I had obtained asense of saving mercy. Soon after this my mind became im-pressed with the necessity of preparing for the circumstances favored me with the means of obtaining ascientific education, how gladly would I have embraced theopportunity.
