Captured Hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus )caught in hedgehog trap,asleep, put there by Scottish Natural Heritage scientists to catch and remove introduced mammal from The Uists (where they present a threat to Little Terns and waders nesting success as they eat their eggs ) . They are removed and relocated to mainland Scotland where they are local and native and declining .
