Restoration work in progress at the Temple of Apollo near Andritsena in the mountainous region of Arcadia in of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo is on a high, wind swept hilltop in the Arcadia region of Greece. It was built arounf the time of the more famous Parthenon in Athens. At present the temple is under wraps undergoing a huge renovation project involving moving any of the massive columns. It shares somethin in common with the Parthenon in so much as some of the reliefs from the top were taken by "historians" and, like the Elgin Marbles, can be seen in a small gallery in the British Museum in London.
