Convolvulus growing on a river bank

The sharp meander on the River Dore creates this bare earth bank. During the summer months this is gradually colonised by plant species, only to be washed away by the force of water during winter storms. The frond of convolvulus leaves is hanging down from the field above and creates an attractive, albeit temporary, feature.
