Mr. Stone was born in Iowa 43years ago and was introduced on hisfathers farm to the wholesome toil thatso often lays the foundation to a lite ofsuccessful industry. He enjoyed theprivilege of attending college for a shorttime, then he obtained employment as afireman on the Chicago, Rock Island &Pacific Railway, where he rose to be ahighly respected engineer. From hi?first connection with railroad work has been an ardent brotherhood. by Mr. II. H.
