Saxony: A helmet for officers, of the Leibkürassier guard regiment, 1810 pattern. Comb of embossed brass, with crouching lions on each side. A crowned cypher "FA" on the linchpin. The brass bowl is made in one piece. The visor and neck guard are covered with sealskin. A sealskin band encircling the helmet is overlaid with a wreath of oak leaves. The chinscales are attached to Medusa's head medallions. Cockade with a sprig of oak leaf, behind this a socket holding a plume of chick ostrich down. The large crest is made of bearskin.
