Ribbon-suspended medallion with painter working at easel as another figure watches (ALENTOUR) portico framed by ionic columns with spiral garlands & masks on capitals, with double festoon above central medallion , & with basket of flowers flanked by leaves below medallion This panel show a certain hardness & simplification of floral & arabesque detail that may indicate a circa 1850 date, but it is impossible to be sure from this print only. Moreover, the panels part of this set show a variation in the treatment of the medallion: GCPA 0240382 & 0240383 do not feature birds on top of the medallion, but a tied ribbon, & laurel leaves cover the frame of the medallion, unlike on the other 2 panels (Cavallo/Soustelle).
