Government.—By sixteen directors elected by theSvnod of Tennessee. ROGERSVILLE Synodical College for many years hasrendered a most efficient service to the homes of EasternTennessee and the South. It has claimed as its Presidentsome of the leading educators produced by our Church. In recentyears, however, it has been allowed to suffer greatly because of thelack of finances. In 1912, the Synod appointed a special committee to raise82,000. At the meeting of the Synod in 1913, the committeereported that they had not been able to accomplish this task. The Annual Report of the Board of Directors, for 1913, con-tained this statement, The Board has made diligent effortto secure someone to take the Presidency of the institution, buthas been unable to make suitable arrangements and consequentlythe college is now closed with n
