People gather together in order to honor the commissioning of USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) Oct. 8, 2016 at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. The ship was named after John P. Murtha, a former Marine and former governor of Pennsylvania. The Marines in the ceremony are from of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, 2nd Marine Division and II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group at Camp Lejeune, , and 2nd Marine Air Wing at Marine Corps Air Station New River, ( Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
