Telescopes at an observatory with the Milky Way in the night sky seen through the retractable roof. This is the Cumeada Observatory, in the Alqueva Dark Sky Reserve, Portugal. The Milky Way is our galaxy seen from the inside, forming a band of stars and nebulae stretching across the sky. Photographed in 2019, after the observatory was rebuilt and expanded that year.
