Per-haps the scent of the foxes was too much forhim, or who knows but that it may have beenthe Call of the Wild ? These dogs areafter all half savage, and although sometimes,like Napoleon, they are perfectly gentle theyare quite lacking in the affectionate qualitieswe are so accustomed to find in our hunting dogs.
