A scarecrow at the 5th Annual Scarecrow Festival in Battle, Sussex, UK
The festival theme for 2013 was Comic Characters. Local schools, community groups and businesses placed their fantastic comic creations on the streets around Battle High Street in East Sussex, England. Prizes for the most creative and imaginative scarecrows were presented at the annual Battle In Bloom Awards ceremony, which took place on 1 August 2013. The festival also raised money for charity and the chosen charity for 2013 was Autism Sussex, which is based in Battle.
