Animal drinking trough, Cwm; Denbighshire; Wales; UK; The animal drinking trough, set into the former vicarage garden wall, was removed from the original holy well (its covering dated 1772) of St Mael & St Sulien inside the vicarage garden. The hamlet is named for the circular hollow (cwm) on the hillside, it is considered to have been a site of Christian worship since the C7th. The present church, dedicated to two C6th Breton-Welsh missionaries, is mainly C14th & later.
