As theback of the pinna is supplied by the auricularis magnus and small occipitalnerves and the lobule by the auricularis magnus nerve, pain ii:i the pinna may becaused by irritation of the cervical nerves in caries of the cervical vertebra3 or byenlarged cervical lymphatic glands. The lymphatics of the pinna are numerous, and pass to the preauricularor superficial parotid lymphatic glands and to the posterior auricular lymphaticglands.
