Shown here is a female short-finned pilot whale aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Joshua Appleby, a 175-foot Keeper Class Coastal Buoy Tender homeported at  Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, being transported Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 to 140 miles west of Clearwater, Florida for release.
