Police officers from Hampshire Constabulary are appealing for information after the collision in Southwick last night. The crash happened at about and a 19-year-old man from Portsmouth died, while an 18-year-old from Emsworth is fighting for his life in Southampton General Hospital. A 24-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being questioned by officers. Police are appealing for information after a fatal road traffic collision in Southwick on Saturday, January 23. The Police have issued the the foolwoing the incident happened at around when the silver Nissan Almera, which was travelling towards Southwick on the B2177, left the road near to the junction with Pitymoor Lane. Sadly, one of the passengers, a 19-year-old man from Portsmouth, sustained fatal injuries. Another passenger, an 18-year-old man from Emsworth, suffered life threatening injuries and is currently in Southampton General Hospital. A 24-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody being questioned by officers. Police are in the process of updating next-of-kin, and we won't be in a position to confirm the name of the man who has died in the media until all formal identification procedures are completed.©UKNIP
