Iraq, Ninawa province, Mosul on 2022-10-18. Report on explosive remnants of war in Iraq, one of the most contaminated countries in the world after forty years of conflict, instability and especially the recent occupation of the country by the Islamic State group, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Ottawa Treaty, the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention prohibiting the acquisition, production, stockpiling and use of mines. Here, in the old city of Mosul destroyed by Daesh, writings, posters or flags warn of the presence of explosive remains. Photograph by Martin Bertrand.
