One interesting feature aboutthe boiler is the circulation, which, it is claimed, is kept up between the top and bottom. The feed water entersat the top mud and steam drum. From there it flowsdown through the four water tubes in the bottom of thedrum to the bottom of the boiler, thence up to the firstset of tubes and then back to the steam drum.
