A stack of pro Tibet placards before the Tibet Freedom March in London

On Saturday 6th March 2010 the Tibet Freedom March set off from the Chinese Embassy in Portland Place, London for the Foreign Office. The aim of the march, organised by a coalition of UK Tibet support groups, was to Show support and solidarity in London with the Tibetan people. Also the organisers aimed, by holding the Tibet Freedom march, to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising. The organisers called on attendees to bring Tibet flags, wear red, yellow and blue and join in the annual Tibet march.
