080303-N-1739M-005 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 3, 2008) Sailors from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) transport a Republic of Korea (ROK) Sailor from the flight deck to the carrier’s medical department. The Sailor was flown to Nimitz from the Korean destroyer ROKS Kunsan (DDH 979) for an emergency appendectomy. Nimitz and Kunsan are participating in Exercise Key Resolve/Foal Eagle 2008, a joint exercise involving forces from the and the ROK.
