As mothers* they have no superior, being quiet, attentive, and unusually careful; they also give an abundance of milk until the pigs are old e'aoagh to care for themselves. SMALL ENGLISH YORKSHIRES. These pigs are called small, not because they are not of good size, but because they are not large and coarse, like the'' Large Yorkshire :" Pigs tliat can be made to weigh 300 to 400 pounds at eleven to twelve months old are really not small, and these are no unusual weights among good feeders. They are probably the most economical feeders of any breed, and are admirable for crossing upon the coarser breeds of swine. CHESTER WHITE PIGS. The improvement within the last few years in this ex- cellent hardy breed is marked. This is not shown in any essential change in form and character, but in uniform- ity of breeding. By the most careful selection and pay- ing strict attention to the above, we have no hesitation in offering our customers pigs bred from animals second to none in this country. JERSEY RED PIGS. This breed of swine have attained great popularity in the past few years, and we have no hesitation in giving them the highest recommendation, as they will challenge competition for all the valuable points which make swine desirable or profitable.
