The Comitia Curiata or Curiate Assembly. In ancient Rome the patricians were members of a curia, which was an administrative division of the city's territory. The original basis for army enrolment and for the ancient Roman assembly the Comitia Curiata, which elected Consuls, passed laws, and tried judicial cases.
