A transition pice is fitted to a monopile on the Walney offshore wind farm, Cumbria, UK.
Workers check the level of a transition piece that the jack up barge, Goliath lifted into place on the Walney Offshore windfarm project, off Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, UK. When finished it will have 102, MW turbines, giving a total capacity of the Walney project of MW, enough to power 320,000 homes. The rotor diameter of the turbines is 107m for Walney 1 and 120 m for Walney 2. The wind farm is owned and constructed by Dong Energy.
