The boiler room of this plant has been extended 39 ft., andtwo 525-hp Babcock & Wilcox boilers with superheaters are tobe added. A new red brick stack is now in course of erection,which will be 9 ft. in diameter at the bottom, 8 ft. at the top,and 150 ft. high. Wheeler surface condensers and centrifugalpumps are being installed for the new units, which make thetotal electric capacity of the station 4500
