POLARIS POINT, Guam (Dec. 20, 2016) Capt. Douglas A. Bradley, commanding officer of the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), and Rolin Dale, chief mate of Emory S. Land, observe the mooring preparations as the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Chicago (SSN 721) prepares to moor alongside. Emory S. Land, homeported in Guam, provides maintenance, hotel services and logistical support to submarines and surface ships in the 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations.
