The scuteUwn is very short, nearly semicircular and slightly punctured. The elytra are coarsely punctate-striate and the jjygidiiua is very sparsely punctured. The front tibire are bi- dentate, and the aniennal club is long in both sexes, very long in the male. The upper surface is entirely opaque in the male, but the pro- notum, scutellum and elytra are shining in the female. The pygi- dium of the male bears a large white patch on each side and the greater part of the sternum and abdomen is also white.
