Hodgson, master car builder of the Grand Trunk atPort Huron, Mich., has been appointed superintendent of the cardepartment of the Grand Trunk Pacific, with headquarters atTranscona, Man. He was born in 1858 at Simcoe, Ont., andentered the service of the Grand Trunk at Brantford, Ont. In1884 he was transferred to Toronto, as car foreman, and since1897 has been master car builder of the same road at PortHuron. T. W. Kendall has been appointed car foreman of the Atchi-son, Topeka & Santa Fe at Newton, Kan., succeeding G. , promoted. W. E. Patterson has been appointed foreman of the car de-partment of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe at Cleburne, Tex.,succeeding G. S. Weiler, promoted.
