The Madrid City Council has asked citizens who had to abandon their vehicles on the M-30 due to the storm 'Filomena' not to come to pick them up since the services of the road itself and the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) will transfer them to the nearest depot. Cranes of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) will proceed to remove the 700 vehicles that were abandoned along the M-30 when they were surprised by the snowfall caused by the storm 'Filomena'. the government delegate in Madrid, José Manuel Franco, has indicated that the situation is under control and "relatively well compared to how it was 12 hours ago." However, he stressed that "you should never be sure" how the situation is going since "at any moment it can get complicated" due to the cold wave that will enter the region next Monday. The Government delegate has issued the same recommendation these days asking Madrilenians to only make trips for very specific reasons and of extreme need. Franco has indicated that the UME will continue to coordinate with the Government Delegation for the distribution of salt and brine, pointing out that in the Community of Madrid 30 percent of the total salt and brine that is spread in a year has been distributed in two days normal throughout Spain.
