An aircraft spanning the entrance to Airport House, the original terminal building for the old Croydon Airport.

Airport House, the former terminal building of Croydon Aerodrome, was the UK's first purpose-designed airport terminal - it is now converted to office accommodation. The building is Grade II listed. The front entrance is spanned by a De Havilland Heron aircraft raised on struts. The aircraft is painted in the livery of Morton Air Services who flew the last passenger flight from Croydon in September 1959 and bears the registration number of that 'plane, G-AOXL.
