Despite the controversial extradition bill which originally sparked the protests being formally withdrawn, protesters continue to call on Chief Executive Carrie Lam to meet their remaining demands which includes complete universal suffrage, an independent investigation into police brutality, retraction of the word ‘rioting’ to describe the protests, and dropping all charges against arrested protesters.
