At this time, the storm had evolved into a strong northeaster with the major impact of the storm well to the north of the FRF. Winds increased at the FRF as the storm moved to the southeast. By 13 December it was located about 500 km off the Delaware coast. At this time the FRF was receiving northerly winds. There were no onshore winds, but waves generated by the storm reached a maximum fl^^ at gage 630 of m (7 = sec) at 1408 EST on 14 December. The atmospheric pressure remained steady around 1017 mb. There was 5 mm of precipitation.
